Ms. Ross came to Grimes Goebel in 2006 and attained partnership in 2009. She is responsible for opening the Firm’s Bankruptcy Department, which has become very successful — covering everything from Chapter 7 liquidations, to individual Chapter 13s, complex Chapter 11 reorganizations, both individual and corporate, and Chapter 12 bankruptcies for farmers and/or fishermen. Ms. Ross also handles creditor representation as well as foreclosure defense, assignments for the benefit of creditors, state court loan enforcement and lender liability actions. She has represented clients throughout the State of Florida and is certified in all of Florida’s Federal Courts.
In addition to her bankruptcy creditor and debtor representation, Ms. Ross has gained vast litigation experience practicing before state and Federal Courts in New York, Pennsylvania and Florida. She works on complex litigation matters and is considered a very successful trial attorney with an outstanding record for results.
In keeping with the ever changing legal demands, Ms. Ross has focused much of her practice in recent years to Healthcare and Procurement Law. As part of the the health care team, Ms. Ross has specialize in HIPAA compliance and policy. She has presented HIPAA training and risk analysis for clients throughout the United States.
Admitted to the Florida Bar in 2001, she has also been admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the District Court for the Middle, Northern and Southern Districts of Florida. She is an active member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association and the Manatee and Sarasota County Bar Associations. In 2004 Ms. Ross was selected to speak at the Nation Winter Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona for the American Bankruptcy Institute and wrote an article in 2005 entitled “What’s in a Name?” which was published by the American Bankruptcy Institute.
